    Well chaps (and chapetts)
I am almost finished restoring a yamaha virago. Its all back together (minus the fron brakes cause I need new calipers.)
Anyway, the iol filter cover just looks crap. I cleaned the sh!t out of it but still its just too tarnished.
Just wondering if i could paint it? It would hardly get too hot for the paint would it?
    Thanks

Doubt it, but you can get high temp paint in most motor factors just in case.

I was thinkin that. One other thing. What would you people recommend for sticking the virago sign back on the tank?

3M doublesided tape. Black tape on red carrier film, it's designed for fixing plastic trim on cars and badges. I'm using to fix vents on the lids and, well, badges on the tanks after painting.
    It holds like hell.
