Anybody know the background to this?

I liked his show. It was a good alternative to RTÉ Radio 1 between 12 and 1pm each week day (when Ronan Collins was playing music on RTÉ 1). And his listener figures have been growing of late (according to this morning's Irish Times above). I only found out recently he's a son of the seanchaí and actor of the same name, a brother of the BBC reporter Fergal Keane and a nephew of John B. Keane.

Thank f*ck. His show recently has been nothing short of depressing. I get it that the economy is f*cked yada yada, but by god does he make it sound like the world is about to end.

I much prefer Moncrieffe for entertainment & Matt Cooper for the current affairs (Hookie the odd time).

Really didn't think he was great anyway, the few hours after his constitute some of the best radio in Ireland imo but anytime I listen to him I find myself jsut drifting away in boredom
