Anyone know if a hover mower is okay for cutting grass seedlings?

Not sure to be honest, but I'm guessing you shoud avoid anything that might squash the grass, which a hover mower would?

I just cut my new lawn for the first time after about 7 weeks growth, with a normal mower on the highest setting.

Some tips over here, but it doesn't mention hover mowers: http://www.gardenplansireland.com/forum/about287.html

new lawn shouldnt be cut lower than 2 inches, so probably your hoover mower will not be so good for first cutting
