CAP1s

Just wondering how people are finding the CAP1s this year? Bit of a post-mortem even though they're not quite over yet! :o

Personally, I thought the MA today was grand, totally suited me. I was actually really surprised by it, it seemed a lot less tricky than other years! I absolutely hate Tax, and even though I thought the paper was OK, I'm still a wee bit worried about whether I did enough to pass. Hopefully I did. I'm pretty sure I failed Law because I was so busy focussing on Tax. :( If that was the only one I had to repeat, though, I'd be happy enough.

I'm not too worried about FA tomorrow. Did pretty well in the DEBK exam, so that's something anyways. Oh and I'm exempt from Finance.

    Anyone else? :)

All I can say is you are very lucky to have the exemption for finance. Was a horrible horrible horrible paper! :(

Big issue I found was managing time to answer all the required questions.

    Worried about Tax and MA.

I didn't have enough time to answer all the questions in FA, Finance and MA.

Anyone else find time too short in the exam?

Financial Accounting today - the timing was ridiculous! Honestly, would it be physically possible to answer all those questions in the time given?! Such a joke! Hopefully the DEBK will bring me up a few marks though.

I'm a bit worried about it - I'm pretty sure all my calcs were OK, and my balance sheets balanced etc, but I just know my lay-outs were way out. Hope I don't get penalised too much for that. :(

I was very stuck for time in MA too, but at least I was really really really happy with my first three 20 mark questions, so I wasn't too worried after that.

    MA - FAIL
    FA - FAIL
    Law - FAIL
    Tax - Borderline
    Finance - Exempt

All in all a good result.

    What was Law like?

Could anyone post the exam paper?

    Thanks.

I am sitting tax and MA in September...any help or suggestions are much appreciated given all I want to do is run in the opposite direction of MA.
