    Hi there

    was wondering whats needed to put a gt turbo engine into a 1.3 starlet?

    it would be easier, cheaper and make more sense to buy the GT Turbo in the First Place.

    you cant just drop a 135bhp engine into a frame made to handle 60bhp or thereabouts.

    If your doing it to insure the car as a standard jobbie you know your insurance will be void in case of an accident right? Just buy a GT going pretty cheap these days

    You also need an engineers report form,send back the old log book to shannon and get a new log book/cert for the new engine and alo to make sure that you can legakly be insured on the car with the insurance comapny.

    id say ud need to change brakes,clutch,gearbox,possibly drive shafts,ud need the cooling system from the gt turbo engine probaly the exhaust just my thoughts but not a mechanic so not sure

    but as was already said id go buy a gt would prob work out as cheap in the end
