Will Dell reduce the price if I don't want the McAfee subscription they offer?

    I might call later if it's possible they'd take the price off the system, as I already have a year's subscription to Kaspersky.

    There are certain zero value SKUs that they can't take off the order. Microsoft Works is one of them.

    One thing they will -never- remove from the system prior to delivery is McAfee.

    You might have someone on the phone tell you they will but; like MS Works; you'll still end up with it on your system.

    It's one of the most frustrating things about a new system purchase. All I ask for is the OS installed yet they add in so much bloatware that I have to go and do a fresh install within a week.

    Ah well. :)

    Yeah they should do if you ask them nicely. They'll probably knock off what it costs them per licence, which is I dunno, about 50 cent?
