Im looking for a decent beginer bike for my Girlfriends birthday! Im thinking around 16inch as she's 5" 7inch. Any body selling one, or know what type I should look for?

Is it for off road trail riding or just spinning about?

Hi, It'll be used for beginer cross country, so i'll need something second hand, but of good nature, no raleigh activors etc!:D

it will be used about our local town for a while, till i get her skill & confidense up, then the trails,(we live in Wicklow, so we've loads within our area)

    Anything in mind?

My gf has an mtb which I bought her last year but has used for maybe only 40km on the road (she insists on using my rockhopper:mad:) so it is genuinely as new.
Its a base entry Barracuda with rim brakes. It would be perfect for beginner leisure xc but would not be great for heavy trails. Not 100% but this looks pretty close. the bike isn't with me and I cant remember the size but she is 5'7"

Like I said she doesnt use it so its there to be sold if it suits your needs, let me know if you want specifics.

I love my rock hopper too! Id love to get specifics, is it a heavy bike, Id like something light and agile for her.

    What area are you in?
    And also how much?

    Thanks

    Robbie:)

    Light, strong, cheap pick two:D

It'll be sat before I'm over at hers to check the components. Just the emphasise they are all entry level though; front shock, gear mech, hub brakes, wheels etc.
I'll get a weight for you too.
I'm based in Cork where are you at?
Re price, I'll dig up how much it cost to buy day 1 but it'll be well inside the €350 budget so you could kit her up with helmet and all the jazz with the change.

So I had a look at the bike, it is the same as the link above alright. Are you interested? The odometer reads 11km but I thought she had done more that. Anyway let me know if you fancy it and we can come to agreement.
