Seeking a non religous alternative celebration to Christening

(no religous debate please) Hi. I'm not into religion but our little girl is worthy of a celebration like what's put on for a Christening. Any ideas on what to call that or what to put into it? I suppose I'll be back for the Communion & Confirmation too.:cool:

I'm not into religion but our little girl is worthy of a celebration like what's put on for a Christening. Any ideas on what to call that or what to put into it?

I suppose I'll be back for the Communion & Confirmation too.:cool:

Basically got everyone round for a party, but had speeches and a special poem for the child.

my brother in law had a 'welcome to the world' party for his little girl I wasn't there, but heard they had a lovely day with family and friends and some food/drinks in the garden.

good luck :-) I'm in the same situation - will need to organise something for my little man.

as for communion/confirmation, I was thinking confirmation can be transformed into some sort of 'initiation into adulthood' party

Hey everyone, i am in the same boat too... just trying to put it away.. but i guess wont be able to hold it off for much longer as our little man is 16 weeks now and people starting looking for the date :-)
I really dont know what to do so i guess we will have to organise some kind of BBQ day or something like that four our little precious one :-)
