Just an FYI, some internal flights throughout the US with southwest are pretty cheap right now with two bags free. I got San Diego -> Oakland for $160 round trip total. There's a lot more there too.

Southwest airlines "wanna get away" specials can be even lower. Like Los Angeles to San Francisco $75 round trip and free luggage. To drive would cost a lot more.
