Sky IMAGES ON TG4

I installed a sky box as afree to air receiver lately for my brother. i also set his aerials properly and setup his amps etc to get good quality RTE1,RTE2, TV3 & TG4. He has all the BBC'c etc on the free to air which he can watch in several rooms etc etc.

He rang me the other day and says that when he's watching TG4 at certain times the sky TV guide comes up, high lights TG4 and selects it and then flashes message about invalid card etc.

Heres the funny bit, this happens even when his sky box is off. i haven't gone to check it out yet but all I can assume is that, whereever I am picking up the TG4 from, they are using a sky box to receive the signal or something like that. Am I way of the mark or whats the crack

    Thanks

Yes some of the RTENL Relay Transmitters use SKyboxes as a headend, I was setting up a Smatv system today with an aerial pointing at Arrain Mhór and while going around tuning in all the TV's the channels disappeared twice and when they came back the were on the info channel until their SMC (SMATV MASTER CONTROLLER) kicked in and changed them to their correct stations. Kinda had me scratching my head for a few minutes till it dawned on me.

None use Sky as primary Feed, AFAIK they are only backup feed.
