Well Lads, has anyone got any bets still riding. I backed The Hungarian dog Lyreen Mover at 25s before the quarter final. Trap 2 in the final so has a chance, although the fav will be hard to beat in 5.

It will take a lot for this fav to be overturned but if there is a dog to do so, i believe it could be Oran Classic in Trap 1...

He ran a blinder from Trap 2 in the Irish Derby to nearly beat College Causeway (who is the best greyhound I have ever seen!) He trapped out in front that nite and was in front untill about 30 yards before the line!!

Anywhere near a repeat performance of that will see him hard to catch!!
Ginger McGee will have him in top shape!

I have only been a spectator so far in the heats but have backed Oran Classic at 8's & 7's this week already... He will probably go off 5/1, 9/2 2nd fav..!!

Cant see the dog possibly leading any of the Traps 2/3/5 for the life of me, therefore cant win in my opinion.....

Krug Ninety Five too big a price for me, definite potential for trouble in the race at the first bend

Wide Open. Last year a 25-1 winner. Anything can happen !

Really think Toomaline Jack will win easy imo. Two slow trappers either side and theres alot on early pace on the inner 1-2-3 all quick trappers so can see trouble on the inner before the first bend. I'll wait till Saturday night before having a bet as i think the bookies will be taking on the fav and he'll touch even money or bigger !!

    Jolly a good thing imo

Ye just never know, I had Kinda Ready backed at 50s last year and nobody fancied him even on the night of the final. The fav Zafonic was in one that night mind you.

Tipoki (3) can't lead up Lyreen (2) from the draw imo.......and he's not a courageous enough dog to muscle his way past at the bend either. If they come together....there is a possibility they might clash and hamper Toomaline Jack (5). If 5 get's a clear run round the bend, then only Krug (4) or Oran Classic (1) are capable of picking it up.

Krug has serious gears but getting a clear run around a tight circuit like Wimbledon won't be easy. Classic hasn't come away well from the Wimbledon traps during the entire event and it's hard to see that changing tomorrow night...but if there is bother between 2 and 3 he has a serious chance.

On value grounds I mighthave a small nibble on Krug and Oran Classic.

I didn't back anything early this year. I am going to have a little bet on Lyreen Mover. I think he can get to the bend first and if he does he'll be hard to beat I'd say.

right...is it worth me doing a reverse forecast on Bandicoot Tipoki and Toomaline Jack?

what odds if the fave 10/11 and 2nd 4/1 come in that order roughly...i might just lump on Bandicoot tbh.

Didn't have a punt on it because I dont know squat about it but my what a race!

Good race. I thought Lyreen Mover had it once he hit the bend first but fair play the winner stormed home.

Done the reverse forecast in the end so thankfully only lost €20, was gonna throw €75 on the Hungarian mut.

    So who won then?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,853 ✭✭✭Kod-box

Toomaline Jack 7/2 2nd fave, was last most the race and romped home up the straight.

Is there betting in running on the dogs btw, wonder what he touched during that?

Thought i had it, led everywhere bar the line, would have won if they hadn't clashed, Goes to show you, the winner looked nowhere at the last bend.
