Are there any good online or otherwise small business and personal legal advice options for those who can't afford it in ireland?

Bank of Ireland maintain a panel of solicitors who are willing to give 1 hour free advice to people thinking of setting up in business and so forth.

Thanks, but I'm more thinking about the other end of the road.

Most lawyers reluctant to give legal advice online.

To advise properly need to see all relevant documents and get full facts of the case.

Many people seeking advice do not wish to give the full facts, or bother to assemble all the relevant documents.

Many lawyers including myself have had the experience of being handed previously unseen but highly relevant documents on the morning of an action. That is not good for one's blood pressure.

This is very understandable. Are there any free legal options for people who need it in ireland?

Hey - your best bet is to pop into a FLAC clinic with all of the documentation that you think is relevant. FLAC is staffed by volunteer barristers and solicitors, who will be fully qualified. They won't give you full-on advice, like you would get if you arranged a consultation with your own private solicitor, but it is a good place to get a general picture of the law around your area, and as such a good place to start?
You can get the times and dates of FLAC clinics that are local to you on their website. Good luck!

Askaboutmoney.ie have a forum where legal advice questions can be asked, whether it is answered (and answered correctly) is a different story and I make no recommendations either way in respect of them:
