Will built in WiFi from UK Laptop work in Ireland??

    Hi,

    I am looking at a Toshiba Satallite L450 laptop in Currys UK, Will the built in WiFi work OK in Ireland?? (i'm a complete novice so sorry id thats a silly question)

    Im not sure of that. Iirc some countries (Japan, U.S??) specify differant channels and slightly differant frequency ranges so it would work but you may be using a frequency/channel that is outside that countries regulatory conditions. I didnt take the time to look it up but im sure i read that somewhere, maybe a ccna book??

    Limitations

    Spectrum assignments and operational limitations do not operate consistently worldwide. Most of Europe allows for an additional 2 channels beyond those permitted in the U.S. for the 2.4 GHz band. (1–13 vs. 1–11); Japan has one more on top of that (1–14).

    Hallo,

    At Munich Airport people fly in from Japan, China, Singapore, Soth Africa, USA, Brazil and Canada. They use the WiFi Services in the airport and hotels.

    Yea works no bother anywhere in the world
    There are restrictions on some of the channels in some countries. But most channels work OK and it's rare to find an AP using those channels anyway
