Trying to plan a camping trip for myself and my girlfriend in June/July. We are both avid hikers and aren't interested in going to designated campsites. Basically I am looking to find out of any good areas that people no of to camp, somwhere that you can pitch a tent, gather some firewood, light a fire, not see or hear civilisation and maybe even catch a fish! A couple of places i had in mind where, Poisin Glen Donegal, Aran Islands, Tory Island, somwhere in the Blue Stacks.

Would prefer somewhere in the lakes/mountains rather than by the beach for a change.

Based in the North West of Ireland so don't want to travel too far, Co.Donegal/Sligo would be ideal, maybe Galway at a stretch.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
