    Hi,
Has anyone got any Deer Stalking grounds that they would like to share with a novice??:D:D Cause we all like to share those valuable hunting spots....
Or at least help/direct as to where to get Permission?

Has anyone got any permission from any of the Landowners from the Boards.ie- Farming/Forestry section?

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated

You cant beat going out and meeting farmers in the person, don't carry any firearms but do carry your insurance, be nice and polite but not a pain with billions of questions as I'm sure the questions will be comming the otherway, if granted ask would it be poss to show me round your boundry at some time that suits you, then when doing so get the form signed to say you have permission and exchange phone numbers and agree on a procedure for when going stalking, ie does he need notice, a call the previous day is good in my book, just incase there is something going on on the land and lets him know you will be shooting. This is work you will need to do yourself, no one else is going to do it for you.
Well thats how I do it anyhow, some of the other lads may have more to add.
Most farmers will not have much problem with this, oh yeah, look respectable, first looks count, no camo, hoodies, tracksuit etc, not the time or place

Have to agee with spannerman7 ,Your best bet is to get out and about and meet some farmers , Once approached correctly most have no problem giving permission and folio numbers , As above first impressions last , Insurance is usual a big issue , Not many shooters like sharing there stalking lands for many reasons,

your def better off to call and see the farmers yourself, there usually aint a problem if your straight with them. its only fair that the farmer knows who is on his land and getting 'second hand' permission can cause complications. just be polite and if your told no then just say thanks and walk away. I have often been refused only to find the same Farmer gave me permission the year after.
