I bought a laptop charger 3 months ago off a Chinese seller on eBay, it decided to catch fire there a few weeks back!

Told the seller about this as I'm supposed to have 1 years warranty on it, he asked for the original chargers parameters which i could only find input/output specs as the original is long gone and it's an ancient laptop.

It's been a few days still no reply, I've a feeling i won't hear from him.
Where do i stand with this? Any chance of a refund from paypal if he ignores me?

I'd say not - because its not like the laptop arrived broken at your house - you had use of it for a while. Also you are well outside the 45 days for a paypal complaint if you bought it 3 months ago.

No chance of anything, and TBH, I wouldn't even try. It'll be a waste of time and effort, and there is more than likely no guarantee (probably a knock off). You take the chance when you buy something cheep. Sometimes it works out, other times it doesn't.
