i am looking for a recommendation for a Pitch and Putt course or a easy Par 3 course somewhere between Dublin (Inchicore area) and Kildare(Naas). Basicly somewhere off the N7, N81 or N4. I don't have clubs though so I'm not sure if all the Par 3 course hire out clubs.... and really not very good so an easy course if possible! Also, what time are most courses open until at this time of the year?
Thanks for any help that comes my way!

Liffey Valley Par 3, opposite the Spa Hotel on the N4 is a good bet. I haven't played there in a while, but they used to have several sets of clubs for hire. Take the Leixlip exit off the N4, go over the motorway and the exit is off the next roundabout. Nice course, not too tough, but with some interesting holes on the back 9.

Athgoe is a lovely little course, but I definitely wouldn't call it easy

Well depends what you're looking for. The par 3's recommended are worth a look. If your looking for a shorter game then St Bridgets Pitch and Putt Club in Kilcullen's is excellent. As is Ryston in Newbridge.

They changed the back 9 around and got rid of long holes!! Played a few weeks back and the long holes are gone and replaced with crap short ones!!!

If you can get out to Tallaght, the Bohernabreena pitch and putt course is well worth a look.

Usually the greens are in very good condition and the course overall provides a bit of a challenge unlike most other courses.

Around the corner from inchicore is Landsdowne valley. Great little pitch and put course.Avoid the spawell, greens are crap.
Also a par 3 off the naas road is newcastle,Nice flat course.
Someone else said athgoe which is a great par 3 but i wouldnt recommend that for a beginner.Went to liffey valley recently and its not as good as it used to be. The holes arent long any more unfortunatly.

Anyone interested in Pitch and Putt, particularly competitive Pitch and Putt, would be most welcome over at www.pitchandputtforum.com

Alternatively, you can take a look at www.dublinpitchandputt.com for clubs that are well established and affiliated to the Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland in Dublin.

Anyone looking for more information can PM me and I will be happy to help out with getting you playing the game.
