I'm not surprised. Smoking is a huge thing among lads in S E Asia. You'd be hard to find a bloke who doesn't smoke. A friend told me he was walking on the beach with a Thai fella who told him he wished he could stop smoking but no one would understand, his friends wouldn't accept it. A bit messed up, really. His parents are weak. Giving in to a child like that is just pure laziness and just tells me his parents can't control him, hense being weak. If he's getting cigarettes because he throws tantrums, then imagine what else he could get. They might as well inject the heroin into him now and save him the hassle of doing it himself when he get's older.
