Hi lads, don't know if this is the appropriate forum, but just wondering has anyone texted back one night stands from a while back? Things have dried up lately for whatever reason and have numbers of some one night stands on my old phone that i haven't texted back for whatever reason, suppose it is pretty desperate....

If both people know what they're letting themselves in for then no harm. What did you want to text them for, a night out on the town or a night in the sack?

All in all there's no issue, good bad or indifferent as long as you let the person know what it is you want and what you don't want.

If you didn't call them soon after the first night it's unlikely they will be bothered at this stage and you will probably be politely told to eff off! You're some tulip wanting to text somebody whose texts you previously ignored just for the sake of getting a ride. It really smells of desperation!

Things have dried up because you probably have a reputation as a user. Nobody likes to feel used. Either go to different pubs/other areas and start with a fresh, gullible batch of women, or stop di*king around(pun intended)

Agree with the above comment, if you're from a smaller town you've probably gotten yourself a reputation in the locals as a user. Women talk, especially about men that treat them badly.

But by all means, give it a go!

I hope you're being sarcastic when you recommend that the OP go to different pubs/other areas looking for fresh gullible women. This attitude is one reason for women not to have one-night-stands but it also might put us talking to any guy in a pub which isn't fair on the genuine guys.

Unfortunately the OP would probably be the sort to take it as serious advice. Both decent men and women avoid people of his type, however-decent men avoid him because they don't want to be associated with a person who treats women so badly, and decent women avoid him because he's so desperate for any kind of physical action, yet is emotionally dead.

If some guy had ignored my texts and then I heard from him months later I'd probably (depending on how bored I was) string him along texting for a while, find out what he wants (although it's usually obvious!) and then tell him to go f*ck himself

OP, I recommend taking thee to a website where you can meet people for sex. It'd look less desperate.

I know if it were me, like Ash23, I'd totally string you along by texts etc and then call you a gobsh1te most probably. You will look totally sad and desperate contacting any of them again AND it will be glaringly obvious you're going through aa dry spell. No harm in chancing your arm but if any of the girls actually fall for it then they are even more desperate than you bud:D

you may aswell OP, your actions make it extremely clear that this is an extremely casual arrangement so its up to her if she is interested or not. Just send a "how have you been, do you fancy a drink?" type of text. Chances of success or low but you've nothing to lose.

I don't know what everyone else is getting so worked up about frankly. Its not as if you're proposing marriage.

btw if these girls were fine having one night stands I would not call the op a user...it seemed to be ok for both parties to have casual sex

You can also hire a prostitute, many people will disagree, but if you go to a club and buy drinks for a girl and spend money on a taxi back to your place and making sure she gets home alright and you just want sex, wouldn't you pay the same for a prostitute....sorry, but just my opinion, not that I've ever used one

Having said that, I don't tend to keep these girls numbers, because if I have a one night stand then its a mutual understanding we don't want to see each other again

It's good to see there are still gentlemen about - I've heard of girls being dragged back to a guys place on a vomit spattered Nitelink and then chucked out into the mean streets of Dublin after the deed was done :rolleyes:

On a more serious note, if so many men use prostitutes why isn't prostitution legalised in this country? OK, we're probably too hypocritical. I've nothing against prostitution per se, but I don't condone trafficking of women and those women being forced into indentured sexual slavery like what happens here.
