Park and Ride at Malahide?

    Hello,

I am going to Dublin on Thursday. I will be traveling down the M1 and need to be near Lansdowne Road for 8am.

I am thinking of driving as far as Malahide, parking at the dart station and getting the dart to Lansdowne road. I would be aiming for the 06:30 service or as close as possible.

Where exactly are the car parks in Malahide for the park and ride? I can't see them on google maps. And I've never been there before so I'm hoping someone can explain it to me.

Also does anyone know if I should buy tickets before I get to the station and how busy the service will be at that time of the day.

    Thanks in advance,

    WM

you might be better going to portmarnock. Huge car park there so you defo wont have a problem. That said malahide at that hour probably would be ok

There's a car park with 120 spots at Malahide station itself, you'll have no problem getting a spot at that hour see details here

    http://www.irishrail.ie/your_journey/carpark_information.asp

You don't need to be there for 630 the 7am Dart will get you to Lansdowne Rd in loads of time, you could wait and get the 730am that will have you in Lansdowne for 803.

Can't imagine the 7am service would be hugely busy but give yourself a bit of time to pay for parking and your ticket.

Not sure about Malahide, as I am not a regular user there.
You could try Portmarnock train station, or free parking at the moment in Clongriffen. Maps and hours etc:

You can buy a ticket from the machines in any of the stations.
