Chris Tucker is a strange one really - he is only known for Rush Hour 1-3 and due to the first one being so big he demanded he was paid $25m each for the sequels. Really odd considering he is not that big a star - I doubt most people even know who he is. Another odd one is Eddie Murphy - he has been well past his sell by date since the 90's yet all the kids films he does still make a fortune - and so does he. $40M last year alone according to Forbes.

Sandler is no suprise though - he earner $55M last year alone - so he is easily in the top 5 biggest stars in hollywood. I thought Funny People was average at best though - far too long for that type of film.

I supose the biggest overall is between Will Smith, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt though.

This article gives a great detailed about the highest earners in hollywood with a breakdown etc in 2009 - http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/features/2010/03/top-hollywood-earners-201003

    From the Vanityfair link....

    6 Daniel Radcliffe

    (Artist Rights Group)
    Estimated 2009 earnings: $41 million
$20 million: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I (fee for starring in upcoming penultimate Potter film)
$20 million: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II (fee for starring in 2011 series finale, also filmed last year)
$1 million: Royalties from older films, other revenue

    WTF!

My personal opinion is that they get paid to much for what they do...
I mean, come on, we, as a society, "pay" people that "dance around" on screen far more than we pay the bus drivers that take our kids to school, dont you think there is something WRONG with that?!
ridiculous if you think about it from that perspective... so celebs spending power, who cares, they have to much.
