    Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone is commuting from Carlow to Dublin city centre and has an update on the drive time since the new bypass opened?

    Thanks a mill

The latest section of M9 motorway between Carlow J3 and Kilcullen knocks about 5-10mins off the journey. There's probably a better saving on the bypass section (Carlow J3-Carlow J4-Carlow J5) since traffic doesn't have to go through town.

Couldn't tell you the overall time to Dublin city centre though I'd guess 70 minutes.

busses still take 90minutes off peak when using the motorway even right up to the castledermot exit.
