Why did they look so happy after having the flashback in the hospital ?

Before the flashback everything was looking good for them. They had escaped the hit man , child on the way and everything looking rosey.

From the flashback they found out Sun cheated, they died in a submarine explosion, and their child would be an orphan.

Ya, its a valid question all right. Not necessarily because everything was rosy in the flashback, as they would have realised that was not real, but because they found out they were dead.
You wouldn't think that when people find out they are dead they would be happy about it. You would expect more of a reaction like another movie I better not mention in case there's someone out there that hasn't seen it :eek:

But, it's how the Lost writers decided to view it. When the person made the realisation that they were dead, they found peace...tranquillity. They also realised that it was time to "move on" to the next world or whatever, that's probably a good thing.
