FAS aptitude test -what to expect

    Earlier this morning I completed the fas aptitude test. The test was for a place on the ECDL course (although I am office competent, I have no certification so I decided to apply for course). The lady from fas stated “the reason we ask candidates to take the aptitude test, is to determine if their English is at a standard that will not hold them back with the theory aspect of the course”

    What to expect

    You will be given 60 multiple choice questions (a,b,c,d). You will have 15 minutes to complete the exam, that’s 15 seconds a question. You must get 40 correct.

    The questions are quiet simple however under pressure mistakes can be made. Your answer sheet is separate from the question sheet so be careful and make sure you write down the correct answer for the correct question (I F***ed up about 11 of them and had to go back and correct my mistakes, as a result I did not get to finish the exam 55/60). Make sure you put down the answer for Q 21 in the space provided for Q21 on answer sheet.

    The questions themselves are fairly basic

    I was _____ to see you at the party.

    a. Delighted
    b. Tired
    c. Asleep
    d. Hungry

    Ruby is an attractive lady because she has _____ .

    a. A fast car
    b. Health insurance
    c. A wonderful smile
    d. Wild friends

    You see where I’m going here, ok maybe sample two wasn’t brilliant but you get the picture, the answers will just stand out. I guess some people may find ruby attractive because of answers a. or d. but I’m more of a smile person ;):D;) lol.
