I've just been browsing a few positions mainly in the UK and I came across one in the LSHTM. It's listed under the 'Professional Support' category as opposed to the academic one where the likes of research assistant positions are. The job description itself doesn't say much other than the applicant needs to be good with data management and have a science undergrad.

Anubody have a better idea of what this might entail? My guess is that it's the equivalent of what I/we'd normally refer to as a research technician (as opposed to assistant or associate) in which case I'm sure it'd be lab based but I may be wrong? There is a list of contacts but I thought I'd get the informal ideas/opinions off here before I went charging in!!
