I think the trailer is horrible. Some serious over-acting going on there.
    Kids might like it though.

For an awful moment I thought the thread title was a reference to the man himself.

Trailer is meh. Though I'm not a fan of Pratchett in general.

They're really pushing it on Sky.. can't say I'll be watching as I'm not a Pratchett fan either.

There is a thread about it here too

I will be watching it but wont be getting my hopes up

I think their intentions are good but their casting and execution let them down generally

But at the same time it is good to see Pratchett stuff on screen and they do sometimes nail something which makes it almost worth it

Ahh I love Pratchetts books, but I don't think they translate well to screen at all. A lot of the best parts of them are the footnotes and the narration. Remove that and half of what made the book good is gone. Even at that, if you were going to but one of the books on screen I think the only way to kind of make it work would be to play the stories a lot darker than the Sky productions do.

used to be a pratchett fan, and his stuff is very difficult to bring to life, although i didnt mind the hogfather. i'll record it too, as the book wasnt bad.

I often wonder does anyone watch these Terry Pratchett TV Movies, and surely they aren't the cheapest thing to produce.

Come to think of it, does anyone watch any of Sky's home produced stuff. Dont Forget the Lyrics, Gladiators and Opps TV are all just terrible. I'd rather them just spend the money on importing Shows.

I've watched all of them so far, while not brilliant i've enjoyed them as i get to see characters i love come to life, postal might be different as its been so long since i've read the book that i cant remember if some of the regular characters are in it.

    i'm glad they get made.

I'm a big fan, have all his books..but i think peoples interpretation of his work is best left in the mind of the reader....i have'nt watched any of the tv films...(yet)..as i'm sure i'd be dissapointed...If its on Sky i'm guessin it'll be interrupted every five minutes for an ad brake...
