How to get a company interested in advertising with your shop

I am in the process of openning a kiosk and was wondering what is the best way of getting a big company on board to advertise/sponser. I dont know if that is even the thing to call it.

Basically what im asking is what is the best way of approaching big comapanies such as newspapers, sweet companies or soft drinks companies and finding out if they have and interest in it.

The kiosk is on the side of a busy road with old signage there already so there is no need for pp for signage.

I am willing to use the compaines name as the name of the kiosk eg The Irish Times Kiosk.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks

I know that the papers have pulled back a good bit on that gig - its mad expensive. You could approach some of the outdoor companies and see if thy would pay - they would then sell the site independently.

Best options imo are the soft drinks companies and the mobile phone companies. They've all done a few of these in the past. Assuming you sell soft drinks the point of contact will obviously be the rep. For phone companies, ask the rep from your Top-up provider to get you the appropriate contact info.

While they may provide the signage to "cover" the shop, they're unlikely to pay you for having it up there.
