Locumotion have ads in the medical papers at present offering jobs in group practices in the cities, not just "in the bush" earning €235,000 a year. Is that a realistic salary for an Australian GP?

If it is A$350,000 that is a very good wage, considering the australian dollar buys the equivalent of a euro.

It is definitely 235,000 Euro. It just seems a huge amount to expect to earn. Why do Australian GPs work here and UK if they can earn that in Australia. I presume the average salary is no where near €235k and this is just an ad to grab peoples attention (it certainly got mine). Anyone know what real earnings are like?
