    Nespresso Machines
Hi I am thinking of buying a Nespresso machine
I was wondering what people think of them & what one works best
& What one to go for?

Anyone have any bad experiences with them?

Is this a good coffee machine or are the normal machines better?

Don't do it. Get a Baraza grinder, fresh (has)beans and a Rancilio Silvia.

I have the cheapest one and it makes a very good coffee; a lot better than most places in Dublin (where they use proper machines).

FYI: I use ristretto or arpeggio as capsules.

Cool thanks. I was think of getting the "Citiz and Milk" model which froths the milk as well to make a cappuccino and a latte!!

Why would you go for the proper machines over the capsules??

The Capsules are so much quicker and cleaner to use than the machines are they not?

I'm kinda looking for a quick and easy solution!!

How did you find the Nespresso delivery of the capsules? etc

if you just want a quick cup of decent coffee go for a nespresso. Im not a fanatical coffee drinker, only drink it at certain times of the day, and not every day, so owning a grinder etc is not a necessity for me.. Great machine for convenience.

Ya I'm going on the same line as you Novarock!!

Has anyone had any problems with them or are they as easy as the say they are?

Whats the best way to froth the milk
Cos there's two different models automatic and manual
Ones totally automatic and pours the frothed the other has a seperate unit that you have to pour the forthed milk into the the cup then coffee after it!!

We got one about a month ago and it's been fantastic.

Again I am only a casual coffee drinker and don't really have the time or patience to go messing around with grinders and the like.

The best thing about the Nespresso is the consistency of the coffee that comes out of it. Every cup is almost the same. Also it's really simple to clean and to keep clean.

The worst thing about it is the cost of the capsules and the lack of availability of them in shops. (You can only buy them online or in Brown Thomas). The delivery from Nespresso is quite good though - I usually get the capsules the day after ordering them.

    I bought this one

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Magimix-M100A-Nespresso-Coffee-Aeroccino/dp/B002NGNSJO/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1275207284&sr=8-9

I have no opinions on automatic vs. manual frother. I have found the manual frother to be fine.

If you want to try some of the coffee, you can go to BT (3rd floor) and they will make you some coffee if you ask nicely.

Bought the Citiz & Milk version on Saturday.

Well Impressed with it so far makes a great coffee. The Froth from the Aeroccino is so good.

Must Say the Service from nespresso is really good too.

I decided to buy the capsules before i bought the machine so I would have plenty of Coffee to drink when I run out of the crus that come with the Machine.

I went for the welcome pack and the limited edition Tanzru ones also so I should have enough to keep me going for quite a while.

I must say that the arpeggio is really good and already becoming a favourite.

Was gonna buy the Machine in Kildare Village at the weekend but decided to buy it in Galway instead on Saturday when I spotted a deal there for €220 on a one off basis!

The Kildare Village had it advertised as RRP of €324 which is false advertising and for sale at €214.99 but this is just €5 less than the actual I paid.
But I got the Limosine Black Colour I wanted and also its not a seconds unit which some are in Kildare and so no nasty suprises if it breaks!!!

The Welcome pack is pretty cool and good if your having guests around for dinner and to have a coffee of their choice from the box after!!!

All in all I must admit I'm well chuffed with it and the coffee is great.

hi there i also bought this last week and have to say the espresso's and cappuccino that you make with it are amazing. As good as you buy anywhere!! To make a good strong cappaccino you will need to use 2 nespresso pods but itw well worth it :-) In brown thomas they stock all the different varieties of pods. Nearly all the pods work out at €3.60 for 10 which I think is great value. The reason I bought this machine was because the sales person told me about the 3 year parts and labout guarantee. If the item breaks they will call out to collect it and leave you a replacement machine when yours is been fixed, then drop your machine back to you!! MIGHTY!!:D
