It says it has a modem and: "you can [...] set it up so it can give you, or perhaps your neighbor, a call when something is wrong"; also that there are no subscription fees. I have to figure it will use your internet connection to call a number of your choice by Voip?

Edit: more here. Looks like €150 + p&p isn't quite as fabulous a discount as you might expect.
