From an Android engineer on twitter (@romainguy)

"Android 2.2 is being rolled out to a very limited test group. We expect a final build to be available for OTA updates shortly, stay tuned!"

So, more goodies to come in the official OTA? ;)

Not more goodies - it's typical for a software release to have minor fixes during the beta test phase before roll out.

Well, Andy Rubin did state in a recent interview at Gizmodo that there will be some features from their recent acquisition of Simplify in Froyo ... none of which have appeared as of yet. Like music streaming or the new music player app they half-unveiled.

So if a new build comes out it'll most likely have a different file name/number meaning we'll get it OTA?!

Here's the latest and seems to answer my question above:http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/05/25/is-the-leaked-froyo-build-just-a-test-build/

When they introduced that section at I/O they said 'looking beyond FroYo'...

I reckon those features are going to be tied in to their music market, which is yet to go live. The player we saw at I/O is probably the new official one, in the same way as you have your iTunes player and iTunes store with Apple products.

So I guess whenever the new market goes live will be when we get our streaming music. Looking forward to it, it was the highlight of the show for me.
