Hi all. Starting foundations in the next few weeks. All water services in garage, i.e. water storage tank in garage attic, pumped feed to house, solar tubes on south facing garage roof, heat source tbd. Would like to hear some opinions on where to locate the buffer tank, i.e.
    1. Also in garage, district pipes to house for ufh and dhw
    2. Located in utility, district pipe from solar/heat source.
    Thanks in advance,
    SC.

    PS u-values < 0.15, air tightness Q50 < 2

I've gone with option 1 above for my project, purely for simplicity and to keep all "plant" together.

Same here. but I have the hot water cylinder in the house, the losses of drawing from a cylinder in the garage would be too high.
