Hey We have a gig coming up this Friday at DublinCitySoulFestival. Basically we are looking for someone or more to professionally video record our set and then mix the audio afterward. Something along the lines of this (hate this band though! ha)

We have had a few videographers who have videotaped the set but the sound always came out weak and flat and didn't do the songs justice as we want to use the videos for some serious online promotion so we need the audio full and eq'd right.. We'll be playing a half hour set. The band consists of drums, bass, two guitars and two voices.

One option we were thinking of would be to videotape the set then take the audio direct from the sound engineer and mix and match. However this is just one idea.....

Ugh. I hate that word, it brings to mind sh*tty wedding videos and badly lit corporates. Why do people call themselves videographers?

Taking a mix from the desk would be the best idea alright. It will be much better than just a mic stuck somewhere near the stage. If you get a chance ask whoever is filming the gig to check the feed you're getting during sound check to make sure it's good enough - I filmed a gig in Vicar Street before and there was problems with the audio feed from the desk so the whole thing had to be scrapped.

Also if you're looking for find interested parties here it might be an idea to mention if you will be able to pay whoever is doing the job for you.
