CRO/CORE Registratoion Help

    My fiance and her friend are opening a café soon. I'm trying to help them in any way I can.
    One thing I'm trying to do for them is register the business name but I'm no expert and am finding it all a bit confusing.
    Can anyone guide me through the registration setup on the CORE website?
    What options do I pick?
    Is it a retail business or a restaurant?
    For the type of entity is it a "business name registered in Ireland" or an "Irish Registered Company" or a "Partnership not registered as a business name outside of Ireland"?
    They are not registered or set up in any other way. Is there anything else they need to do first?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    If you are registering the business name then the option to choose is "business name registered in Ireland" this applies regardless of whether the business is a sole trader, partnership etc, all that matters is that they intend trading under a name that different to their own names.

    If customers are eating on the premises then I would imagine it would be restaurant rather than a retail business
