I'm so pissed off, it seems that everyone is using a crack of some sort to cheat in MW2, it's no longer playable, Activision are real Bas*ards fo allowing such carry on.
It was far better on COD, at least it was under control to some extent.

NEVER giving Activision my money again.

I'm sorry. Did you mean to post this 4 months ago? What cracks are still in the game?

Haven't played in a few weeks, but there was no issue with this on the 360 at that point...

PC version is a clusterf*ck - any idiot can google hacks/cheats and launch the game with a custom executable . Regardless, I would argue that the game was ruined long before "the lunatics took over the asylum" and hackers were allowed to freely run riot.

A mate of mine has the pc version, the other night he was playing in a lobby with crazy gravity, aimbots, infinite ammo, the works, and then everyone in the game got upped to prestige level. He had to go rooting around game folders and delete a load of stuff and arse around with things to remove whatever was in there. It was crazy, the console versions have boosters but aimbots are far worse.

I'm on the PC version, which is fuc*ed up completly, I got nuked 30 seconds into one game !

There seems to be no effort from Activision to resolve the problem either.

    Ah. Okay.

Was that PC listing in the title originally? Must be blind if it was. :o

some of the hacks are fun, like no gravity and slow motion. But then you have aimbots/wall hacks which just ruin the game. Suprised nothing is being done about it. But I guess they couldnt give two ****s about the pc community.

Its probably hard for a games company to care when pc gaming has been ruined by piracy, I honestly dont know a single person who plays pc games who has paid for one in years, the last game I bought was Half Life 2! I havent played a pc game since I got my laptop 2 years ago though. Consoles are where the money is made so its simple economics, why bother trying to police servers where people probably havent even paid for the game to begin with?

BS. steam has 2million users online ON AVERAGE. every game paid for . It has over 20million users total and everyone of their games is paid for

    piracy |= hacking

or rather "piracy" is not an effective excuse for saying up yours to thousands of paid-in-full who get vapourised by cheaters - I would attribute it more to the "we have your money already why the **** would we help you play a game we want to replace in October 2010" attitude the publishers have.

+ hackers pay for their copies too

Well I for one will find it hard to part with another €50 unless they can prove it's under control.

Afaik you cant play online if you illegally download, so it cant be of benfit to anyone really. "why bother trying to police servers where people probably havent even paid for the game to begin with?"
I paid €45 + rediculous price of €15 for dlc only to have some stupid fools ruin the game by cheating. And Im pretty sure it wouldnt take alot to sort out if they would only bother.

Exactly, on average 80,000 a day play MW2 alone (source - Steam).

Wont be buying anything from them again anyway if this is anything to go by.

yes you can i know plenty of people who do both on pc and xbox many i play with on a regular basis. i also know plenty of people who dont hack pay for the game and still get messed around by cheaters and glitchers . i havent had many myself but i did have a game recently where one player was practicly a mobile sentry gun . he moved around took rediculoud amount of damadge to kill and would auto aim and shoot as soon as you came on screen he spent most of his time turning in circles so no one could hit him . throwing knife worked as well as regular(the one time i got close) but a sticky semtex didnt it was rediculous

I don't run into hackers every game, I've only been in 4 games where a nuke was let off, and there was 2 of those that were a definite cheat, but the other 2 was down to being able to get the chopper gunner/AC130 in the air. I do often get decent enough games (barring lag spikes for me, or someone I'm trying to kill). The tuber/scavenger/OMA is a pain in the nuts, but most servers I play there is maybe one or two at most using them. I consider myself lucky if they are on my team, I don't notice it much if I'm not the one getting blown up every few mins. What I find much more prevalent is the run and knifing. Now that's a bitch.

... and I'm sure there are many thousands of poeple that won't bother, but unfortunitely there are many many more that will so we lose in the end.

trust me they will go out and buy it, the console heads think mw2 is the best thing ever and tbh its kind of meh!! another year of listen to " im rank 70 am great" lol no ur not ill still kick ur ass with stock weapons and no perks

but its like talkn 2 a brick ;)

also played the game a few days ago for the 1st time in months an just noticed how campy the game is i killed for people and and got the pred, killed 2 ppl with that called in the jets got the chopper ( cant think of the name atm not chopper gunner) I sat back and let them do all the work and came out on top of the scoreboard, and i only killed 4-5 people myself lol

    anyways rant over lol

anyways back on topic, when they have made hacks for consoles things are gettn bad tbh pc gaming will always be riddled with hax but shipping the game with punkbuster( not that its that great but at least its sumthing) was just stupid

MW2 on the PC was always going to be a failure unfortunately... Activision, to satisfy their greed, decided to do away with servers owned by gamers and since they scrapped PunkBuster and server streeming to Game Violations cheating is now out of control.

I didn't bother buying MW2 and I will never bother buying another Activision game (EVER).

I just hope all the Infinity Ward staff that left Activision start up a new company which designs decent games for the PC again...
