I know its released in August with 20 minutes additional footage . How much do you think it will cost? and will the bonus footage answer any real questions or will it be like the game where nothing really was revealed and seemed to just be a ploy to sell more copies

I think I might save up and buy it as I would love to go through each season again

If you're talking DVD, it'll be the €150 mark delivered online from shops like [url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lost-Complete-Seasons-1-6-DVD/dp/B0036DE0Q8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1274729626&sr=1-1
]Amazon[/url]. Probably bricks and mortar stores will be closer to €200.

As it stands, you save a good €40 by buying the Complete Seasons 1 - 5 on DVD for £69.99 and then buying Season 6 seperately for £33.79.

As for the Complete Blu-ray, I can't see it available for pre-order on Region B (our region) anywhere but I'd say it'll be betweent the €180 and €200 mark online. You can buy it on Region A (US) from Amazon.com for $195 (US dollars) - with customs and all, it'll probably work out at about €200 but if it's a Region Free set, that could be the best bet!

No, unfortunately not. Like DVD it has different regions which have to be taken into account.

This site might be of help

Use a laptop - region free disappears with vlc.

According to TVSquad the additional 20 minutes will answer some questions but Im not sure if this is true or where they got this from.

Wil the extra scenes only be on the Season 1-6 Complete collection? Or will they be also on the Season 6 box set? As i already have season 1-5 on DVD. I wouldnt want to be buyin em all again

Nah.. they'd be in season 6 also I'd say.

There might be exclusive features for the Complete Set but I doubt that would be one, if there is any.

Hmm with the way entire series are being sold these days, I might wait a year to buy it. Seeing as how its easy to buy Sopranos/West Wing/Wire in such a fashion for under 100E, i'd say Lost will follow suite.

    Lads, cool it.

Opinion Guy, your comment above is borderline trolling.
Cut it out please or you'll be taking a break from the forum to cool down.

I do not have a hd telly/ blu ray player and have, for one, never been too impressed with them. However, lost is a show I would be tempted to get on in high quality, particularly with a price like that....

It's available for pre-order on HMV.com (who deliver to Ireland) for £135.

I'm going to need to watch that again (to paraphrase Locke).

Is there going to be 20 minutes additional footage for the ending, or just on parts of season 6?

Tbh I think I will buy it on release almost a thank you to the writers and actors.
They deserve some of my money.

Seeing as this is the lost forum I'm guessing I already know the answer to what I'm about to ask but here goes anyways.....

I started watching lost when it first came out and loved it...however I missed most of the third series as I was traveling. I always intended to get back into it but was due to lack of time I put it off. Then when I heard the direction it started taking (time travel etc.) I was completely put off. It's not that I dislike sci fi, it's just that the show seems to have changed so dramatically from where it started out.

Now I'm considering investing in the box set and giving it a proper go. Will I be sorely disappointed? Bare in mind I already know the ending and most of the twists along the way...

I just bought season 1-5 on hmv.com for £69, rang HMV Grafton Street they told me it was 130e, ordered it off website and with delivery it worked out £73 so about 85e, nearly 40 in the difference! How does that make sense? will buy season 6 separetly when it comes out, will still work out cheaper.

It's not really clear yet. This footage may be separate from the episodes and used to answer a few loose ends (a bit like the mobisodes). I'd prefer an extended finale but they've never really done extended episodes for the dvds before.

Have a scout around Gamestop. At the moment the used boxsets are buy one get one free for 9.99e. I picked up Season 1,2,3,4 and 5 for 30e. The were used but not a scratch on any of the disks and the boxes were perfect.

That's a bit of a cheat. It goes against everything Darlton said about the show being the mothership; all the other stuff is just for hardcore fans. If they are tying up plot points especially Walt I think that's very unfair for those who will not buy it.

I agree, particularly in the case of Walt. But they'll be on Youtube and DarkUFO as well. If people care enough they'll find them.

I may be mistaken about the "20 minutes" being in the extras though. There definitely will be extras that will contain answers. But I was under the impression they would answer very minor things, like the food drops, i.e. nitpicky stuff that doesn't really belong in the main narrative of the show.

However, it would appear that a fair amount of stuff got cut from the finale. I'm pretty sure the writers confirmed that we would see Walt in the finale, but he was no where to be found. It also looks like the final scene in the church was shortened (Christian addressing everyone was cut). So maybe the 20 minutes is actual episode stuff that will be restored.

Agreed. It's probably just the tv rips burned on to cds. I've watched pirated dvds before and the quality can be pretty horrendous.
