How far do they go with explanations though? Do we get info on the polar bears or the sharks with Dharma logs or why you could only leave the island at a certain point or or or etc etc.

To be honest.. they graze over a lot of the questions asked by the audience. They even joke about this!

We don't get much in the way of explanations but we do get an insight into what they were thinking for certain scenes and storylines.

Their discussion of 'The Constant' was particularly interesting - it took 5 weeks to write, as opposed to 1 and a half to 2 weeks for a normal episode.

The Dharma Initiative brought the bears and sharks as part of their science experiments and I thought the certain directional heading to come to and from the island was the line out from Jacobs lighthouse.

Okay but why did they do this. Why was the directional heading along the lines of the lighthouse. Why oh why for so many things! Still really enjoyed the show but I think there's a bit too much of the man of science in me at times and not the man of faith :)

Class I hadn't thought of that. Nice idea as it lends more gravitas to the lighthouse as a feature - seeing as special headings have been mentioned ever since Faraday arrived.

I've watched the first 15 minutes. These two guys come across as very smug and I think the guy with the glasses at least 2 times completely misuses a word. Not impressed. Very unlikable.

Very interesting. But eh walt, We are going to see more of him, really huh?

I never got the hate with Darlton. I've always thoroughly enjoyed their interviews/podcasts whatever. They never came across as arrogant to me..

Why did they say Walt was returning in the finale when clearly he wasnt?

Unless he was edited out for time purposes but I cant see how that would happen

But the Island can move, so it's thing (i don't know the word- the place that is on the opposite side of the world) would change too.

Eh... urm... you know basically, you know that we kinda eh thought that you know, that it would be, you know really cool to have this, eh you know a magical island. Eh... urm... eh... you know anything that you know that we thought was cool we you know basically put that in the, you know, the show. You know basically, we didn't you know make stuff up at all. You know basicaly its actually you know based on a true story.

Considering they got an half hour extra added late on I just can't believe they would do that especially as they knew a lot of people cared about his story.

Is that link on times with the timeline still up on times website?

Question about the ‘Lost’ finale: I thought we were supposed to see Walt one last time? Did something change? – Craig
You perhaps got wind of what ‘Lost’ boss Carlton Cuse said at last week’s Times Talk Live event: “You will actually see Malcolm [David Kelley], when all is said and done.” But he wasn’t necessarily referring to the series finale that was broadcast on Sunday. So yes, they did find a way to reintroduce (a grown) Walt, but you’ll have to wait for the Season 6 DVD extras.

The absolute cockbags that are TF1 (****ty French channel) have laid some spurious claim to part 5 of this interview - unbelievable. Is there anywhere else it can be seen?

I always thought the polar bears where brought there by the Dharma initiative for experiments, those big cages they the others kept the losties in had to be for something like that

    1) Thought those interviews were very good. I have no idea why people take a dislike to the writers. I think they come across very well and are very honest about everything. Yes, they glaze over questions, but that's to be expected.... and they are honest about glazing over them, and why.

    2) Polar Bears?

Polar Bears have been explained really. Dharma brought them to the island. Maybe experimentation, but the most likely explanation is as follows:

Polar Bears are used to the Cold. That wheel thingy was down in some Arctic area of the island... or whatever that was.

Dharma were trying to train the Polar Bears to turn the wheel. They wanted to do this as whoever turned the wheel disappeared off the island (perhaps they knew where too at the time, perhaps not).
Obviously at some point they succeeded as one of the Polar Bears turned op at the exit point (We see Charlotte finding it) in Tunisia.

Not really sure what further explanation people want on Polar Bears.

They were. If you go to NY lost site there is a dharma video which explains it.

Lindelof has always been like this. Im not a fan of his personality but his writing skills and imagination ive great admiration for. But him as person is a pretenious git.

When they said we'd see walt, did they mean when they remembered? There was that scene with walt throwing the knife with Locke and Boone

They blocked it for France, and I can't get around their totally illegal, illogical and stupid block.
