    Hi,

Would anybody have any recommendations for the best value place to get walking gear around the Dublin area?

I'm starting the Camino de Santiago shortly and I'm looking for things such as breathable socks, boxer shorts, trousers and the like. I'll be walking for 5-6 weeks so understandably I want to get the most comfortable stuff. I went to 53 Degrees North in Blanchardstown Centre which seemed to have everything but it was way too expensive - for instance, €18 for a single pair of those breathable socks.

Also, a good value lightweight sleeping bag, lightweight towel, lightweight poncho, sun hat etc?

    Thanks.

One other thing, does anybody know where I can get an all-in-one charger that will charge my ipod and Samsung phone each evening?

those sock are expensive but totally worth it.

The problem with cheap outdoor gear is its usually crap.

Millets in the CC (End on Henry st) is cheap and there are a few other shops around that area too. Gelert is a half decent cut price brand for certain thing but other such as boots and socks you should never really cheap oput on as the just don't work as well.

Great outdoors off Grafton st another option, pretty similar pricing to 53 though.

If you are willing to travel there is Tog24 in Kildare Village outlets and I think also another outdoors store.

Ramblers way has lots of cheap outdoor equipment, its just beside millets.
You could also try www.jackson-sports.com, they have very good price and free delivery to Ireland.
