With the Finale upcoming i know this forum will be kept busy for a long time to come but i think i probably speak for a lot of people when i say the following:

Many thanks to Sad Professor and Basquille in particular for the effort they've put into this forum over the course of 6 seasons. They are the spine of what has been a very good forum.

To be honest, the forum's been an absolute pleasure to moderate. Full of very sound level-headed people, and very few hot-heads around the place.

I'd like to thank the regular posters (and readers) for the always interesting episode discussions. Say what you want about 'Lost'.. but out of all the Television subforums, I'd say this is by far the most popular both in terms of visitors and active discussion.

And I'd also like to personally thank Sad Professor for his always on-schedule episode discussion threads. That plus more than anyone, his theories have been pretty damn accurate. So many thanks Carlton Cu.. I mean, Sad Professor! :pac:

Hope the forum lives on after the show ends.. of course, it won't be nearly as active but we'll see how the 'Lost' universe pans-out.

I'm just one of many people who have regularly contributed to the forum over the years. Far too many people to name. Some of them have been big defenders of the show, while others have often been consistently quite critical of it, but they all made a positive contribution to the forum. Even if it was just to point out the holes in my sometimes outlandish theories. The disagreements probably made for the best discussions.

Anyway, thanks everyone. I've really enjoyed being part of this forum and I hope everyone sticks around.

First time to post in this forum, though it was always my first port of call after watching the show and i'm gonna miss it. Managed to stay spoiler free all day and now it's almost 9pm. So..., thanks everyone!

Ya, Great stuff guys....

I came late to the forum, but have absolutely loved it since.
The banter on whole has been brilliant and I love nothing more than trying to work through some of the mayhem and intrigue that is a Lost episode.


btw, I don't think your job is anywhere near done.... this forum will be required for some time yet :pac:

My fave forum on boards, and looking back on it I think the reason I actually joined boards was to participate in this forum, even though I ended up doing more lurking than posting!

Think we should start a re-watch club or something? Watch it from the beginning again an episode a week and discuss it (maybe skip a few choice episodes, stranger in a strange land I'm looking in your direction)?

Yep, 2nd what everyone has said. I loved all the talk/banter/theorising. As someone who never comes up with theories himself it's interesting to see how peoples imaginations work!

I can also say in the 4 or so years I've viewed here I have never been spoiled about anything major and that says a lot about the modship and general community spirit where people are respectful of each other.

Also to Sad Professor who contributed with some amazing posts, well done fella.

But the biggest thank you has to go to the Mods who managed to keep the finale spoiler free, that must have taken a serious amount of post checking and observation.

I have read and loved this forum on here for 6 years, its easily the one Ive checked most over the past few years on Boards, I will miss the analysing, theories and debates a lot
