leather jacket-where?

    Hi guys,

I really want to get a black leather jacket that goes with everything and that will last for years. I've been looking for a while and seen a few that I love but none of them seem multi-purpose enough. Topshop have had a few amazing ones but they're very much statement pieces in themselves- for example, there was a stunning asymmetric one in the last Kate Moss collection but it would have to be worn closed at all times and wouldn't work with a lot of tops.

I think what I need is a basic biker or military style, not asymmetric as I want to be able to wear it open sometimes. Something that will look as good with jeans as it would over a summer dress. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't have a massive budget but I want it to be real leather and I'd be prepared to spend a bit in order to get something that would look good for years.

    Thanks in advance!

I bought a leather jacket from River Island last year. Just a casual bikerish type one. I blew almost €200 on it but boy was it worth it!

If you want a leather jacket I'd recommend spending more on it if you want it to last a lifetime. I wear mine with everything. I wear it to college, nights out and to work and it jazzes up what ever I'm wearing. So I think blowing a load of money on it was definitely worth it as it's gonna last years and it will never go out of fashion. (plus it's REALLY warm!) :)

I got mine in Topshop for €75, down from €190 :D Keep a look out on the high street, Topshop and River Island especially. You might be pushed finding extensive selections, given the time of year.
If you're spending a good bit, All Saints are known for their gorgeous leathers.

I got an absolutely fantastic one from asos.com. It was about £80, really brilliant quality and goes with everything.
