Penalty points question

Hi guys, I got 2 penalty points on my license for speeding in June 2007 (71km/h in a 50km/h zone, which was changed to a 60km/h zone a few weeks later, sigh)

Woops I forgot to ask the question, it was:

Will they just automatically be removed from my license, and will I get a letter, or do I have to ring someone, or how does it work, thanks

Yup and you will get a letter,you dont need to ring anyone.

Has it always been 3 years they stay on a license for? My friend said his were gone after 2, I know it's 3 now, but was it different back in the day when you could buy a loaf of bread and a bottle of milk for a shilling?
