My HTC Desire seems to know when I've been on a plane.

First time I thought I may have hit the airplane mode widget in my messing about prior to turning the phone off on boarding the plane. But twice now on turning the phone back on after landing the phone has set itself into airplane mode automajically. Now it's probably just that whenever it has been turned off for an hour or so it just assumes that it has been on a plane, but has anyone else noticed it doing things like that?
