i have a 249 myself and my mate has the m60,personally prefere the 249,its just nicer to hold and feels better, easy to maintain and less things to go wrong, cos the m60 has a dial so you can adjust the motor speed and thats just something that can go wrong, best to keep it simple, only thing that gave trouble with the 249 was after along time there was a good bit or wear on the piston, simple fix as the 249 has to be te easiest gun to work on,so id suggest the 249 :) not the para haha, the mk2 :)

I had to make the same decision recently and went with the M249 Para. Do keep in mind neither of these weapons are for running around with :)

However they are both fantastic support weapons and if used correctly with our team win games.

M60 looks better however the box mag sits too much to left side making it difficult to hold the foregrip, not that it would really matter if your using this weapon with bipod which you will find yourself doing so.

I love my M249 para and would highly recommend it, if you go for M60 lets know how you like it.

I have both meself, The 60 is a later design and is better made all-round than the 249, it has the variable rate of fire thing too which is cool,

You best bet is to have a feel of both and see which you prefer, but my vote is for the 60. :)

theres a couple of small issues with them, but the 249 has a lot more common problems. :)

the hopup nub is too small in the standard 60 so you have to get a harder more rigid nub, (same with the 249 aswell,) the box mag hangs a little low and after some time it can sag a little, this'll interupt the flow through the feed tube and misfeed. to solve this ya just need to add 10mm of packing inside the ammo pouch underneath the actual mag itself. other than that its a pretty mean piece. :)

If this dont sell it to ya, nothin will. :D

There is a review of the A&K M60 in the current issue of Airsoft International (The one with Captain Price from Modern Warfare on the cover)
