    Hi all

we are looking at a camper conversion on Monday and going by the description i don't think this has a fridge - which we would want. It says its wired for 12v but how can we add sockets etc so that we could use "normal" applicances.??

Make sure its registered as a camper!

Regarding the lack of fridge a large electric coolbox can be a better solution, when you open front opening fridge on a hot day all the cold air goes out and warm air in. The old style fridges are very inefficient the only advantage is that they're silent.

If you're not sure what you're doing with the electrics find someone who does. You could use something like this: http://www.charlescamping.ie/onlinestore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_260_266&products_id=390.

Please be aware that a lot of "normal" appliances will trip out the supply in a campsite.

hi there you would need an inverter installed on to van to allow you to use 230v ac in a 12v dc situation such as a van or car there are not hard to wire up but just check all of you loads and possible try to put in an acc relay to shut it down while your not driving to make sure your battery doesn't die while ideal
