    hi all,

i'm a piano player thats getting bored not playing, hopng to find something interesting to do.

I'm 32, started off doing hotel stuff, and in the passed few years have been doing restaurant type stuff, from jazz though to pop, and suppose i think i'm only getting good now, and don't want it to go to waste.

Stuff i've played is ranging from james taylor, flaming lips, sinatra, ye olde classics! through to alicia keyes, lady gaga...

I can play completely by ear, and have been likened to a one man duke box (given the right amount of alcohol lol) - once I know the song, i can play it!

I'd be interested in doing anything that comes along: from a 2 piece through to a covers band!

Give us a shout if you think i could be what you're looking for!

    Hey there,

If you are still looking to get involved in a new project I am looking for a piano player. I am a singer/guitar player playing regularly in bars and hotels in Wicklow and Dublin. Let me know if you need any more details.

Please have a read of this thread and add more information to your post like your location. That will save others from having to ask you those questions (although in this case it looks like it's too late :) ).

Best of luck with your search!

I don't play an instrument so I'm looking for someone who can put my lyrics and melodies to music. Sounds like you could do this by ear. I'd like to set up a profit-sharing songwriting partnership. If you're interested, and based in Dublin like me, have a look at my post at http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055957956.

Hey there. I'm 23, living in Bray, co.Wicklow and wanting to put together a special originals band. I want to really do something original, and "think harder" is pretty much my adopted motto for this band. I want every musician involved to be adept at their instrument and for the material to show off their skills, without alienating an audience through lengthy solo sections.

I play guitar and sing. I write as well though I'm not aversed to having a writing partner. My guitar style is more blues and classic rock. My brother plays drums. I do want to start a rock band, but I want to make it modern and relevant.

To that end, I want to add synth/keyboard/organ sounds (depending on feel of song), maybe some samples here and there, and to make sure that the drums are always danceable, or almost always. My vague theory is to combine classic rock, hip hop, and modern electro music into a new style. I don't like how popular guitar music evolved in the last ten years and I want to offer an alternative that isn't the "alternative rock". I've bought the new Roland Fantom G6 workstation/synth so if you don't have a synth of your own to work with, it wouldn't be a problem.

I know Drogheda is a bit of a drive but if you really want to flex your creative side and put your substantial experience and skill somewhere where it will count, I think a jam couldn't hurt. I've attended Hot Press's music Industry Explained lecuters this year and learned a lot about the industry and trends and I'm serious about whatever project I involve myself in. Not a timewaster.

Anyway, hope this heas piqued some kind of interest.

    Later
    Kevin
