    Hi lads,

I'm originally from tyrone but living and working in dublin for the past 9 years.
My question is.....could i still bring in a northern registered car and not pay the VRT as it would be the first vehicle i have ever transferred over?

The missus is looking at changing her wheels and i'm tipping about in an old van (southern reg) - we were wondering is it still possible for me to "bring in" a fairly new motor and for me to declare it as my permanent move.

I still have active bank accounts in northern ireland and still be home quite a bit.

    Cheers.

Pretty sure you have to import the vehicle within 12 months of your actual TOR (Transfer of Residence), as well as fulfilling the usual other conditions......
