    10. Jack and Sawyer fight in The Incident.
    9. Sayid shoots young Ben
    8. Ben kills John Locke
    7. Sun watching the Freighter explode
    6. Ben moves The Island
    5. Finding out that Sawyer and Juliet are a couple.
    4. Sawyer and Kate have sex in the cage
    3. Charlie's death
    2. Desmond and Penny phone call
    1. Jack and Kate at the end of Through the Looking Glass

Watching that show was actually torture. I was looking so forward to it but every single scene was ruined by that presenter.. Iain something.. "television gold", "Marvelous Plot". Sweet Jesus, Shut up!

Not only that but the list is one of the worst I've ever seen too.

5 and 4 are absolutely crazy picks!

While I like all the scenes, There are only 2 there that I would definitely pick.

And come on a top 10 greatest scenes without 1.. not even 1 scene from the first or second season is a massive fail... nothing from the pilot, Locke's wheelchair or him banging on the hatch, Sawyer telling Jack about his father, Charlie hanging, the raft sailing, Walt taken, Desmond with the fail safe, Henry gale "you got milk", Shannon death, Ana Lucia's and Libby's death... etc

Is this just because sky didn't show the first 2 seasons?

Sorry lads I just had to say something, it's the most disappointed I've ever been with Lost. :D

    Rant Over

Your scenes > that list, although I do think Charlie's death and the Desmond Penny phone call were pretty emotional for even the hardiest of men!

    1. Jack "We have to go back!!"
    2. The Detonation of the Bomb
    3. Faraday being shot by his mother

    5. Meeting MIB and Jacob for the first time
    6. Meeting Desmond in the hatch for the first time
    7. The Constant - the whole fricking thing!
    8. Ben calling smokie to Kill Whitmore's people
    9. Eloise Hawking and the Lamp Post
    10. Charlie's death.

The start of Season 3 where they showed the plane crash from the perspective of the village was class.

The Henry Gale scenes were brilliant then though.
Michael Emerson is definitely the best Lost actor by far IMO.

That was a terrible top ten. I really couldn't care less about Sawyer and Kate in the cage. Locke being revealed as the smoke monster was the worst scene ever. That scene and everything that has come since destroyed the story irrevocably. In one fell swoop it made the Dharma Initiative, The Others, Widmore and everything else redundant.

The first time John Locke was shown in the wheelchair should have been number one. Then there was Michael shooting Ana Lucia and Libby, John Locke being pushed out of the window by his father and Mr. Eko confronting the smoke monster just to name a few. There should have been some Hurley moments too, for instance running over The Others in the van.

Edit - I just realised Locke being revealed as the smoke monster wasn't actually in the top ten. I think it was given an honourary mention though.

That top 10 was crap! What about the season 2 finale? Season 3's opening scene from the village? Alex being shot in the head?!

"Sawyer & Kate have sex" as #4, you have got to be kidding me!

    this.

I'm not going to make a top 10 list until after the finale but I know Charlie's Death, Locke wheelchair reveal, Locke after waking up after his operation to banging on the hatch, Jack Sawyer conversation on Christian.

I'd have difficulty just doing a Jack and Locke conversations top 10!

Lots of great scenes but this is the scene that made me think I was watching something a bit special:-

That top ten looks like it was compiled by female voters/researchers!!

    Sawyer,Jack,Love triangles,sad scenes,Sawyer and more Sawyer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,206 ✭✭✭lmahoney79

I am a female viewer and I would not of picked most of those scenes, that program was shocking, dimissing all of the important and poignant moments in the show............and as for that MUPPET that presented it, Iain Lee.....give me strength!!

God i can't stand that Iain Lee. Any show that sky makes about Lost has that muppet in it and thus it becomes unwatchable.

One scene i think that deserves to be in there is the one where Richard is talking to his dead wife. Thought that was a really touching scene definitely the best in S6.

Honestly the only two of those I would've had in my own list was Charlie's Death and Desmond speaking to Penny on the phone... The flashforward reveal might make my top 10 list, but not up near the top... I too will be compliling a list of my top 10 favourite scenes after the finale airs...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 365 ✭✭Dubs

Loved that walkabout ending as well as the Deus Ex Machina one

Charlie dying and the Desmond-Penny phone call are also in my top 4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,604 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

The big elephant in the room was not having the rights to show any scenes from Season 1 or Season 2.

But even with the 3 and a bit series they had to work with it was a dreadful selection, and how annoying is that Iain Lee guy.

I seriously doubt more than 2 or 3 of these would be in peoples top 10 list - I reckon Sky Magazine just gave these 10 options and asked people to vote for their favourite, and then Sky TV turns it into some definitive 'Top 10 Scenes as voted by the viewers'.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 937 ✭✭✭Kevski

Jeez that show was almost as bad as the one where he went to Hawaii to interview the cast fot the final time. Two of my favourite scenes are from season one and involve almost no dialogue. Michael Giacchino's score really makes the scenes.

The death of Boone and the birth of Aaron. I really like seeing everyones reaction to the baby, especially Sawyer who was an outcast at the time.

Almost 7 minutes and not a single word. All of the original characters boarding the plane and ending their lives as they know them...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 685 ✭✭✭darrenh

The time the light came through the hatch in season 1 after Locke had done everything to try to and open it.

I'd forgotten that. An awesome scene.

Ian Lee, Lost superfan, give me a break, I wish he'd GET Lost

For me though, one of the best scenes was the end of the first series where Locke bangs on the hatch and the light shines up, great stuff :)

Hmm so Sky1 got the rights to Lost from series 3 onwards. And not a single entry in that list is from series 1-2? What a coincidence

Re sky list. The two that would have made my list was The freighter explosion and Jack's "We have to go back speech".

    My top three would be.
    1. Ben shooting Locke in "Man behind the Curtain"
    2. Smokie killing Mr Eko.
    3. MIB and Jacob on the beach when they were introduced for the first time.

OP couldnt agree more i muted the volume every time he spoke and the choice of scenes were crap

    for me they would be

1 jack and vincents final scene
jacks death scene aint gonna spoil it for those who havent seen it yet

2 Locke being in the coffin i actually roared "holy ****in **** ****" at the tv

3 Jack "we have to go back"

4 Locke and the light from the hatch you could hear his anguish

5 Charlie and desmond "not pennys boat"

6 michael killing ana lucia and libby

7 Finding out locke was MIB

8 Finding out eko wasnt the man of God we thought (his brother etc)

9 Locke going flyin out the window at the hands of his father

10 Locke wiggling his toes on the beach (actually didnt see mewso's vid until after doing this but that scene right there is fantastic)

Absolute joke of a list. Jack and sawyers fight, sawyer kate sex scene is better than the wheelchair reveal in Walkabout, GTFO sky 1 voters.

Thanks to everyone for the lists and posting of videos.

Way better than Sky's stupid list. That Iain guy is an idiot, after all he did a preview of Season 5 and interviewed Jack and Sawyer in Dharma overalls and spoilt it for the lot of us.

All the scenes spoken about here really make me realise how much I love Lost and what a great series it is. People who are complaining about the ending (which I loved) should think how good the drama, storytelling, music, writing and acting in this show has been and how much pleasure we got from it rather than just try to slag it off.

Lost for me has been the TV event of my life and I can't imagine anything ever beating it. It's the only show I have considered buying a box set of and the only show I will re-watch from start to finish.

I just thought of another great scene. It's one of the few from the last two series that I might put in the top ten. It's the one where Jack reads John Lockes suicide note on the flight back to the island. I was expecting a sixteen page letter about why he had faith in the island or something, but instead it simply said "I wish you had believed me". That said so much about John Locke in just one sentence.

Ryan McGee, a well known Lost blogger, has put together a pretty damn good "top 25 lost moments" list. No video unfortunately.

Sayid never does well in these lists but I loved his scene at the end of one of the season one episodes along the lines of...

Sayid: 'Take me to the hatch, John.'

Locke: 'Hatch? I already told you there's -'

    Sayid: 'John. No more lies.'

Also the episode where he exposes Ben as Henry Gale. Sayid was fantastic in the early seasons. I also think this is a rather underrated scene:

I do miss the way they used to use non-Giacchino music like that.

I'm a HUGE fan of all the Jack/Locke scenes. They were the heart of the show as far as I'm concerned.

White Rabbit (the first and often forgotten)

    Exodus

    Orientation

    There's No Place Like Home

Better than that travesty of a list that sky 1 did but still quite a lot of omissions imo. Final scene of season 1 with the oceanic 815 music, it's worth it for the transition from locke and jack on the plane to the hatch both visually and musically. Juliet's death sequence from the incident. The Desmond reveal in the hatch and the similar reveal of new otherton in s3.
I'd also have Ben turning the donkey wheel.
Oh and for comedic value jack doing the mock touchdown while Kate is looking in is a real favourite of mine.

Tbh the show had so many great scenes that one could do a top 100 and still have several notable omissions.

Opening 7 or 8 mins of the first episode....

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Given everything that happened in the last season, this is a fantastic scene. Was fantastic anyway, but its even more special given what happened.
