Bus Éireann Edenderry-Dublin route 120/123

    Hi all,

Starting a new job on Monday after not working for a few years, bit nervous and haven't used the bus service before, so trying to get organised as you do!

I rang Bus Eireann customer service today about the no.120/123 bus from Edenderry to Dublin....departure times & where the bus will leave me etc...

The bus will leave me on St Stephens Green on time, which will be near to the new job..Great!

But I just realised I forgot to ask them about my return journey...

I can't really tell from looking at the time table or on the Bus Eireann website where the bus stops are, it seems to list Connolly St Luas stop as the first stop, as thats near where the bus terminus is at Busaras....

But, surely there must be a stop closer to St Stephens green? It doesn't mention St Stephens Green at all on the time table for the return journey to Edenderry.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light for me and tell me where I can get my bus on the way home?

(I'm hoping I don't have to walk all the way to Busaras each day after work!)

    Many thanks for your help!

All departures on the 120 route leave from the bus stop beside Connolly Luas stop except for the 19.30, 20.30, 21.30 and 23.00 departures which leave from inside Busaras.

All departures pick-up at Wellington Quay just past the Ha'penny Bridge. There are no departures from the Stephen's Green area.

If you are commuting every day then 10 journey tickets are much cheaper than 5x day returns.

    Aw, thanks so much....

Hmm, I guess either way I've a bit of a trot to do after work.

Both are probably the same distance wise but I'm thinking the stop at the ha'penny bridge might be handier for me as its a nicer walk through Grafton st, then Temple bar etc...

Ok so... I'm feeling happier now that I know that...thanks again. :)

Oh and thanks for the tip about the 10 Journey ticket...they had said that on the phone today, and also that you get 10% off the price if you buy your ticket online then print off the code for the bus driver to issue you your ticket...good to know! Every little helps, eh! :)

    Oh!!! One more question...

Where abouts on St Stephen Green does the bus drop people off so I can get ready to stand up & ring the bell, in case there is no-one else getting off?

    Many thanks again...

    Thanks!!!

Great...just looking at a map here...so the bus stop must be on/around Merrion row?

Ok, i'll be ready to jump off as soon as I'm on the green then...brilliant.

Thanks everyone for your help...hopefully by the end of next week I'll be a dab hand at this!

    OK, the child fares are:

    Child Cash Fares:
    Single - €9
    Day Return - €11.60
    Normal Return - €14

    LEAP Fare:

Well I'm hardly going to quote a fare for a trip that you can't use on the bus!! ;-)

The timetable is in my first post - it tells you where you can board.

Ok I might just go and find bus aras to confirm all of this

What more do you need confirmation of?

I've told you that you can use the card, I've quoted you the fare, and I've given you the timetable.

With the greatest respect what is there left to confirm?

I'm beginning to wonder why I should have bothered at this stage.

Or you could thank lxflyer for taking the time to answer your questions.

Nobody here is being paid to be your personal travel assistant, the least you should do is to give the relevant information out so people do not waste their time looking up multiple different options each time you add a bit of detail, then you could do them the courtesy of acknowledging that they have taken the time to help you rather than throwing it back in their face by suggesting they are wrong.

You can get the bus from beside the Connolly Luas Stop, the last stop nearest to the traffic lights or from Busaras for services after 7pm, it also stops near the Ha'penny bridge and at st johns road opposite Heuston station main entrance.
