Right folks the announcement is due to be made this coming monday so lets start the speculation, who do you think will be and who do you want to see as the new RAW GM?

I dont know why but today i got a feeling it could be The Rock! Actually scratch that i do know why, it is because this week "classic moment of the week" was rock vs jericho from No mercy 01 and sidesplitters this week was Rock heloing out Eugene (as seen in the "biggest pops" thread) Would be brillint but with promotion for the tooth fairy i really doubt it!

So who else is there? Vickie? Vince? Steph? HHH? Austin? HBK? Jeremy Piven?

I could see The Rock sorry Dwayne back as a guest host but not as a full time GM even though it would be frecking awesome

Ted Snr / Dusty Rhodes / Jesse Ventura all would be a good choices

Excuse me....Excuse meeeee...there can only be one choice for GM

if they have any sense once more the WWE universe will echoe that of the BWE and The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase will be made the Raw GM... wont happpen though but he really is the ideal choice imo.

I thought the week Randy RKOed Meatloaf that Vickie was made permanent GM? Anyway, Vickie all the way, has to be. God that heat the woman generates with two little words is just fantastic. :P

she quit and ran off at the end of the show afraid of using her GM power against Orton for fear of being RKO'd.

People would react against it but secretly she is a heel many love to hate and could do a good job... not as good as The Million Dollar Man mind you

Ah right, I think I missed the end of that Raw so that explains it. Ted Dibiase would be good, I think he'd have to tone down the gimmickyness of his character if he was GM though.

    Has to be.................................................... MIKE ADAMLE

just check out some of the BWE to see how good he could be, although tbh that is only really getting good now (Dibiase's role not the BWE).

Jim Ross is a decent bet, he did hint in his blog that his schedule will be altered massively soon.

Dwanye "the Rock" Johnson said that he wanted to come to RAW during the summer. he said he wont be wrestling but wants to do more than just be a guest host...........................

its not unrealistic if he stuck around for a month or two as a "GM" as part of a storyline. could then be replaced by maybe.................................. The Million Dollar Man............... think of the opportunity to help out the fotunate ones. maybe Ted's brother could return from injury in august/september for this storyline

No way will it be The Rock, as much as I'd love it for him to come back fulltime he never will and has admitted as much himself.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,199 ✭✭✭G-Money

I think if there's any chance the Rock would come back, Vince would be doing his best to get him lined up for a match. I seen someone had a posted up at a recent show that said "We want the Rock v Cena"

    You forgot *Bang bang*

Having Ted as GM would equal so much win. I wouldn't hold back on that tbh (esp with the BWEasel around):pac:

And he and Vince probably know he will just totally outshine everyone else and make them like peons in comparison. :(

Yep. I was just watching clips of him in the biggest pops thread. He has such a good personality and so entertaining. So many of the current guys are so bland.

Sure do you remember when he did the taped promo for the hair vs hair match? It was the best promo WWE had seen in years which didn't speak much for their current talent.

    Regal please

Michael Cole is getting heat bigtime at the moment, can't rule him out, also Matt Striker is an outside chance. Triple H would be a big surprise but my money has been on J.R. since this was first announced.

I'd love JBL as Raw GM (prob won't happen but still)

I want Regal to get this so much. He is simply one of the best heels on the mic right now. And he needs to lay off the wrestling soon. Ideal choice for the job.

He says it's not him. From his website:
Yes, Raw is going to name a new GM this Monday night and even though my name has been one of many under internet consideration I can assure you that I have no plans whatsoever to be in Toledo Monday but rather will be watching Raw, as usual, in my La-Z-Boy in my living room in Norman. I hear by nominate US Champion Bret Hart for the task. Or Chelsea Handler. Or Joey Styles. Or The Fink.

Wouldn't make any sense for it to be J.R. seeing as they took him off TV because of his look (according to him anyway).

I think Bret would be a good choice but I'm not sure if he's interested in the schedule that goes with it.

    I'm just wondering Shawn Michaels...

It would be great but I don't think they'll go for a repeat GM. They've been kind of odd recently with their picks for authority figures so it could be someone out of the blue. Wouldn't shock me if the Abraham Washington character takes it up.

Oh I hope not. Unless you can promise me he would be much better than he was when he was on ECW. He was terrible there. I never got to see him on FCW but from what I saw on ECW he could be the cause of many people changing the channel.

I really liked his stuff on ECW, that show with Sheamus was comedy gold.

Armando Alejandro Estrada please would be a good one, don't know why they got rid of him.

I think he was a victim of his own success. People liked him more than Umaga

I heard that all right, it's a strange one, I mean I liked Bobby the Brain more so than most of his stable of wrestlers. He was mad popular and it never hurt him.

It's beyond me why WWE had him wrestle anyway, they could have easily used him as a heel manager, as even though Vince McMahon doesn't seem to believe in managers anymore, surely he's not dumb enough to see that the majority of his top guys cannot talk well and need a mouthpiece.

Abraham Washington is the favourite methinks.
Would hate to see it though. Just gives me another reason to watch smackdown.

Jim Ross crossed my mind after the Danielson/Cole "Poor man's JR" incident, but I don't think JR would lie to the fans. Would be nice to see the new GM be someone that would get Danielson on TV soon, best choice for that is HBK or Micheal Cole. If it's HBK, they could use the angle that he trained him and doesn't feel he got a fair shake on NXT, so he signed him as a free agent and is putting him in the tournament for what should be a vacant US title by Monday. If it's Cole, they could have him bring in Danielson and put him through matches against opponents that he "shouldn't be able to defeat." Hopefully we have seen the last of Daniel Bryan, and will soon see the beginning of Bryan Danielson on WWE programming. I've seen the Abraham Washington rumor, and really hope that is not the case (I think my 14 month old son would be a better GM than Washington). Bret Hart would be great but that would require a new contract. Regal would be a good fit also, but like someone else said earlier, not expecting a repeat GM. I would like to see them go with HBK or Hart, someone that would not be afraid to go nose to nose with anyone in the locker room.

    maybe it is Michael Cole......................

ok stick with me a sec. look at the way they have been building up Cole's heel persona over the last couple months on NXT and even now on RAW they seem to be trying to bring out the heel persona.

it would be a fresh idea to say the least

    F4W:
-- Despite rumors about Michael Cole, the man at the top of the running to be Raw GM starting Monday night is Abraham Washington. Which, if that's the case, means Vince McMahon might be right about Smackdown on Syfy doing the same ratings as Raw later this year.

Hope it is not Vickie, but it could well be!
