Tester called in sick - Test cancelled

My test (2nd time round) was scheduled this morning for 915. I showed up at around 850 to be in plenty of time. I was nervous but I felt confident enough that I could do it. Went into the waiting room, and all the other 915 people were called except me. About 30 mins after that the receptionist came in and told me my test was cancelled as the tester was out sick and that I should have got a text or an email yesterday about it, I didnt. I argued for a bit and asked her was there not any other testers available, as a number of people's names who were called out were no-shows. She said that it doesnt work like that, so I left.

Rang the RSA's 1890 number to complain / get help, and asked for a date in the next week or two. They told me I'd be waiting a month at least. Its a <SNIP> shambles. They also told me that the tester only called in sick at 9 this morning, and this is the reason why I didnt get any notice. I understand that if a person is sick they cant come to work. Fair enough. But I mean to cancel every test that that tester would have had for that day?? Come on.

Anyone else had this? Is there any more I can do to try and speed things up a bit?

perhaps you could use the time getting some extra lessons seeing as it will be your 2nd time doing the test..
